I've begun my 6BR build-up by picking up a used Six stock for my short-action M700. It was purchased unfinished and the original owner applied a single coat of flat paint.

I need recommendations for stock prep and painting.

Thanks!

If you already have the guns and compressor sand it to a 400 grit finish and spray on some DP40-catalyzed primer.Sand and putty the stock, then do a base coat clearcoat in your favorite color.
If you don't own all the necessary equipment get in touch with Michael Kavanaugh out of Denton,Texas his e-mail address is paintfumes@hotmail.com his work is worldclass and his prices aren't that bad.If you turn him loose on your stock you won't be disappointed.Tell him Lynn sent you.
