My first 6BR, Baity built time precision action 24inch pipe. I plan on shooting 80grn Fowlers and wanted to get some good loads (primers & powders)

Be sure to read the Article on Egg Shoots by Mark Schronce. He has a lot of experience with 12-twist barrels and he's been using the 80gr Fowlers with great success in competition. His email address is in the article if you want to contact him directly.
I've been loading 80gr Fowlers and 88 Berger FB with N-135 and it seems very accurate. I am going to experiment a little with H4895 because that meters so well and it is quite a bit cheaper for me to purchase.
I found with the flat-base bullets it really helps to have a smooth deep chamfer (I use the K&M tool) and I use a little Ballistol lube wiped on the bottom half of the bullet sides to ease seating. I also bushing-neck size just enough of the neck to grip the whole bullet. That way the bottom of the neck is a little bigger so it centers nicely in the case. If you have a real tight-fitting neck (<.002" over neck diameter of loaded round) I don't think it makes a difference if you size the whole neck or just part of it. But sizing part way tends to reduce the amount of brass that is pushed down towards the doughnut area.
