Has anybody got any loads for a 18 inch barrel with a 1 in 14 twist and what speed will they be doing.I have just order a H&S precision pistol.

and bullet weight ??
first rule is : shorter is the barrel faster need to be the pitch to get the same bullet stability because velocity is lower in short barrel , even if that slighty lower that always need faster pitch to compensate lower velocity so 1 in 14 will probaly just go with 60 to 70 grain bullet ( short bullet flat base )

That great I was hoping to shoot 65 grain to 75 grain bullets for target and varmint shooting.I can not wait until the pistol arrives and I can test it out and the 6 BR round and see what accurace I can get out of it.I will keep this site posted on the loads I use
